Commission of Cardinals
The Commission of Cardinals oversees the fidelity of the Institute with its statutory provisions. It is composed of five Cardinals appointed by the Holy Father, who chooses among them the Cardinal President. Their term of office is five years renewable once.

Metropolitan Archbishop of Łódź
Cardinal Konrad Krajewski is a member of the Supervisory Commission of Cardinals of IOR, as well as the Dicasteries for Promoting Integral Human Development and Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments. He is also the Metropolitan Archbishop of Łódź.
In 2018, he was created a Cardinal by Pope Francis and from 2013 to 2026 he served as Almoner of His Holiness.
In 1999, he was elected Papal Master of Ceremonies, after being employed at the Office of Liturgical Celebrations of the Supreme Pontiff in Rome.
From 1995 to 1998 he was Master of Ceremonies for the Archbishop at the Diocese of Łódź, where he taught liturgy at the diocesan seminary, of which he was Prefect, and also at the Franciscan and Salesian seminaries and the Warsaw Academy.
In 1993 he obtained a Licentiate in Sacred Liturgy at the Saint Anselmo Liturgical Institute in Rome and in 1995 he obtained a Degree in Theology at the Pontifical University of St. Thomas.
During his stay in Rome, he worked with the Office for the Liturgical Celebrations of the Supreme Pontiff and was Chaplain of the Orthopaedic and Traumatology Clinic at the “La Sapienza” University.

Almoner of His Holiness
Cardinal Konrad Krajewski is a member of the Supervisory Commission of Cardinals of IOR, and of the Dicasteries for Promoting Integral Human Development, Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments.
In 2018, he was created a Cardinal by Pope Francis and has been the Almoner of His Holiness since 2013.

He was appointed Cardinal in the consistory of 30th September 2023.
In 2020, he was confirmed for a new six-year term as Rector Major of the Salesian Congregation, a role to which he was elected in 2014 by the 27th General Chapter, as well as X Successor of Don Bosco.
In 2013, he was appointed Superior of the new Province of Mediterranean Spain, dedicated to “Mary Help of Christians”, and in 2009, he was appointed Superior of the Province of Southern Argentina, based in Buenos Aires.
He was Provincial Delegate for Youth Ministry, Director of the school in Ourense, Provincial Councillor and Vicar, and, from 2000 to 2006, Provincial.
He holds a licentiate in Pastoral Theology and another in Philosophy and Pedagogy.

In recent years, he has held various positions, including Religious Education teacher at the Liceo Scientifico Orsini in Ascoli Piceno, director of the Diocesan Vocational Centre, teacher of Philosophy, Pedagogy and Psychology at the Trebbiani Magistral Institute of Ascoli Piceno and later at the Stabili Pedagogic High School, as well as editor-in-chief of the Diocesan Bulletin, psychologist at the Diocesan Family Counselling Centre and teacher at the Diocesan School of Theology.
He completed his philosophical and theological studies at the Pontifical Lateran University, where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and a licentiate in Dogmatic Theology. He obtained degrees in Philosophy and Psychology from the State Universities of Macerata and Rome.

He is Pro-Prefect of the Dicastery for Evangelization in the Section for First Evangelization and the New Particular Churches.
Since 2024, he has been a member of the Council of the Section for Relations with States and International Organisations of the Secretariat of State.
In 2020 he was co-opted into the Order of Bishops and in 2019 Pope Francis elected him Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples.
In 2014, he took part as President Delegate in the III Extraordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops on Pastoral Challenges of the Family in the Context of Evangelisation.
In 2012 he was created a Cardinal by Benedict XVI and has been Archbishop of Manila since 2011.
In 2001, Pope Wojtyła chose him as pastor of the diocese of Imus. During his ministry, he promoted the implementation of the directives that had emerged from the diocesan pastoral assembly held in 1999, focusing especially on young people. During his years in Imus, he became president of the Commission for the Doctrine of the Faith in the Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines, and president of the Fabc office for theological issues. He was also rector of the Imus seminary.
He earned a licence in theology in 1987 and a doctorate summa cum laude in 1991 from the Catholic University of America in Washington.
Invited to give lectures, lead retreats and organise seminars for priests, religious and laity in the Philippines and abroad, over the years he has also taken part in the activities of the National Bishops’ Conference and the Federation of Asian Bishops’ Conferences (FABC), standing out as an appreciated speaker in various countries on the continent.
