Vatican City, September 30th 2019 – The Institute for Works of Religion adheres to the Single Euro Payments Area.

“Following the adhesion of the Vatican City State on March 1st, 2019 to the Single Euro Payments Area, generally known as SEPA, the Institute for Works of Religion (IOR) initiated a difficult and complex process of technical, regulatory and procedural adjustment to SEPA platform that has now been completed.

Therefore, starting from October 1st, 2019, the SEPA money transfers service, provided by the IOR, will become operational and available to its customers, confirming the Institute’s
determination to raise the standard of the payment services provided and to operate according to best market practices”.
