Vatican City, 01 December 2017 – Following various comments in the press relating to recent HR decisions made by the Institute for the Works of Religion , IOR wishes to stress the following:

• The measures taken have occurred after due consideration and are part of normal administration procedures.
• In order to protect the involved parties, the Institute has decided not to communicate such measures.
• The IOR distances itself from all the  statements that appeared on such matters over the last few days in the press.

In the meanwhile the transformation process of IOR continues successfully under the responsibility of the various governing bodies and the supervision of the relevant Authorities.
